Apple iPhone 16, Apple iPhone 16 Pro, and Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max are all set to make their grand debut on September 10, 2024. This highly anticipated event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, California. Alongside these new iPhone models, Apple is also expected to introduce the Apple Watch 10 series and the third generation of AirPods. Ahead of the launch, Apple Hub has leaked some intriguing details about the pricing and features of the upcoming iPhone 16 series.
The Pro models of the iPhone 16 are expected to come with a titanium frame, enhancing their durability and scratch resistance. This follows the trend set by the iPhone 15 Pro, which has proven to be robust over time. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will include a 5x telephoto lens, previously only available on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This upgrade will allow users to capture high-quality portraits with impressive background effects.
One of the anticipated new features is the Capture Button, which will be included in all four iPhone 16 models. While it’s unclear whether this will be a physical button or a capacitive one, it is expected to provide haptic feedback and possibly allow users to focus by half-pressing it.
For the iPhone 16 vanilla models, a vertical camera layout similar to earlier models is expected. This setup might support Spatial Video for the Apple Vision Pro, enhancing the video capture experience. Additionally, new color options are on the horizon, with the iPhone 16 Pro expected to feature a Desert Titanium shade, a new color replacing the previous blue titanium.
In terms of display sizes, the iPhone 16 Pro will likely expand from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will grow from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches. This increase in screen size will be welcomed by users who enjoy larger displays, although those preferring smaller screens might find it less appealing.
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will continue to use aluminum bodies and come with a 60Hz refresh rate display. They are expected to be equipped with the A17 Bionic chipset and offer up to 512GB of internal storage. Both models will feature a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and improved battery capacities of 3561mAh and 4006mAh, respectively.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with 120Hz refresh rate displays and up to 1TB of internal storage. They will be powered by the new A18 Pro chipsets and include a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, replacing the 12MP unit from previous models. The Pro models will also support 5x optical zoom and feature enhanced battery life, with the iPhone 16 Pro housing a 3355mAh battery and the Pro Max featuring a 4676mAh battery.
As we approach the launch date, the excitement around the iPhone 16 series continues to build. With these anticipated features and updates, Apple’s latest iPhones are expected to set new standards in smartphone technology.
